Arestin® is an antibiotic that can effectively combat the bacteria responsible for periodontal disease. It can be applied to the pockets and crevices between the gums and teeth that form during periodontal disease. These pockets allow bacteria to thrive and grow, further worsening the condition.
Arestin® is often used to supplement other periodontal treatment options and reduce the number of bacteria present during the healing process. The antibiotic is applied at the time of the procedure and can provide lasting protection and improved results.
Crestpointe Dental also provides root scaling and root planing. Dr. Crescencia Tejero-Ugay uses specialized tools to remove plaque and tartar that create bacteria deposits deep within pockets around the teeth. There’s no way for patients to reach these areas during regular brushing.
As gum disease progresses, it can reach a point where surgical intervention is required to deal with bacteria that have penetrated deep below the gumline.

Everyone here is extremely friendly and warm. I have a phobia of dental work but with them, I feel comfortable, I never feel pushed if I have to take a minute. I have had things from just my usual cleaning to moderate work and have no complaints. Now my wife and son have gone and will keep going.
I've been doing bi-yearly cleanings since before the pandemic, and the experiences have been consistent and great! There is little to no waiting time for the appointment. The staff explains everything that is going on, and the cleanings have been painless. They check whether you're comfortable from time to time, and I never had problems.
I have been going here for a while now and as usual, I was helped right away, and my appointment started right on the dot from when I scheduled it. The staff was kind and helpful as always— double checking if everything was alright and if I needed anything. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good service :)
